How much does cooker installation cost?
A like for like connection to an existing outlet is £80 to £200. A new cooker circuit from the board is £250 to £550, and more where the route is awkward or the board has no spare way.

Do it while the kitchen units are out. Moving a cooker point with the run stripped costs a fraction of moving it once the worktop and the tiling are finished, and nobody plans for it because the appliance arrives last.
What moves the price
- Whether a cooker circuit already exists, which is the difference between twenty minutes and half a day.
- Cable route from the consumer unit to the kitchen, and what the floor and walls are made of.
- Whether the outlet plate is being moved, and the making good that follows.
- Spare capacity at the board, and whether a way has to be freed or added.
- Whether a separate oven and hob need splitting, and the load calculation behind it.
- Disposal of the old appliance, which some will take and most will not.

Is fitting a cooker point notifiable?
A new circuit has to be certified everywhere in the UK, and notified to building control as well in England and Wales. Replacing a cooker on an existing circuit is not, anywhere. In Wales, work in a kitchen is notifiable more broadly than in England, so ask which nation's rules apply.
My new cooker's cable will not reach.
Common, and the answer is not an extension. Either the outlet plate moves, which is a short job, or the appliance flex is replaced with a longer one of the same rating by somebody competent to do it.
