About A Carey Electrical Ltd
A Carey Electrical Ltd is an electrical installation business based in Helston, covering all of Cornwall. It was established in 2021 by Alex Carey, who has worked as an electrical engineer for over 10 years, beginning his apprenticeship at age 17. The business now has a team of installers carrying out domestic, commercial and industrial work.
The services listed are wiring for lighting, power outlets and electrical appliances, upgrading main electrical panels, installation of electrical systems for power, lighting, heating and ventilation in commercial buildings, renewable energy systems including solar panels and battery storage, electric car chargers, and electrical condition reports for homes, commercial buildings and industrial properties. Recent projects include a Georgian home in Mullion, an eco home near Porthcurno with smart heating controls and solar panels, renovation of a supermarket building in Helston converted to an NHS doctors surgery, a residential development at Mawgan Porth with heated outdoor pool and lighting, and an interpretive centre at St Just in Roseland.
Work begins with a visit to assess the property and discuss requirements. The business offers free custom quotes and collaborates with other businesses on commercial projects. Domestic work covers first and second fix wiring, and data and WiFi installation is available. The team carries out underfloor heating installation and removal of old electrical systems before new work begins.
