About Amara Electrical
Amara Electrical Contractors Ltd is Mike Maccabe, a NICEIC Approved Contractor based in Congleton who has been an electrician since 1988. He surveys properties, writes fixed prices, carries out the work and signs the electrical installation certificate himself. The business was established in 2007 and covers Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent, including Stockport, Cheadle, Wilmslow, Altrincham and Crewe.
The core service is full house rewires, planned room by room around occupied homes. Power is restored at the end of each day where safe to do so, and the house is left clean. Every rewire receives a 10-year electrical installation certificate. Other services listed are EICR reports, home buyer electrical reports, consumer unit upgrades, OZEV-approved EV charger installations, sockets, lighting, mains-wired smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, wired and wireless alarm systems, PAT testing and emergency fault-finding. Light commercial work is undertaken on request.
All jobs are quoted at a fixed price in writing before work starts, with free quotes given after the visit. Mike holds City and Guilds 2391 for inspection and testing, and all circuits are tested to the 18th Edition wiring regulations. The business carries £5,000,000 public liability insurance and is a NICEIC Approved Contractor. Fault-finding call-outs are charged at an hourly rate, made clear before attendance.
