About Blu Electrics Ltd
Blu Electrics Ltd is an electrical contractor based in Dundee. The business carries out domestic and commercial electrical work, including new installations, repairs, rewiring, light fixture installation and complete system overhauls. Services listed are electrical inspection and testing, fixed wiring inspections to BS 7671 regulations, EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), PAT testing, emergency lighting certificates, earth bonding, EIC certificates, network and data cabling, and audio and visual equipment installation including video walls, speaker systems and door entry systems.
The business covers Dundee, Angus, Perth, Fife and Edinburgh. Blu Electrics works for homeowners, landlords, businesses and the education and health sector. Jobs begin with a visit to assess the work needed and provide a quote. The team carries out visual inspection of accessories, instrument testing of circuits, consumer unit work and minor works. Testing identifies overloaded circuits, electrical risks, fire hazards and problematic circuits, and determines the age and type of wiring. A recommendation report follows. Landlords receive EICR reports every five years to verify that electrical installations meet current safety standards and legal requirements. Recent work includes an EV charger installation, with the team assessing the siting location on the first visit and confirming start times by SMS before the job.
