Braham Group is an electrical and mechanical contracting business based in Newry. Founded in 1972 by Paul Braham and his wife Margaret, it has grown from a small electrical contractor to a company operating across the UK and Ireland with over 140 staff. The business provides electrical contracting for new builds, hospital expansions and refurbishments of historic buildings. Mechanical contracting services include design, installation and maintenance of industrial heating, plumbing and HVAC systems, following the 2023 acquisition of Victoria Mechanical Services Ltd. Street and floodlighting work covers public realm lighting in town centres, decorative bridge installations, motorway networks and professional sports floodlighting. The business is also a delivery partner for Tesla Motors superchargers across Ireland and provides zero-emission charging infrastructure for Translink's bus fleets.
Braham Group operates from headquarters in Warrenpoint with offices in Belfast and Dublin. Recent projects include the Milewater Service Station for Translink, the Northern Spire bridge lighting, Lisburn Market Square public realm lighting, and refurbishments at Trailfinders in Dublin and Portrush Train Station. The Senior Management Team comprises five directors: Managing Director Ciaran McQuaid, Operations Director Thomas Braham, Commercial Director Jason McQuaid, Finance Director Paul McDermott and Contracts Director Matt Beattie. All five have dedicated over 25 years to the business. Braham Group was rebranded in 2022 to reflect its expanded services across electrical, mechanical and specialist lighting.
