About DK Electrical
DK Electrical is an electrician business based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, run by Dan. The business has been trading since March 2026 and covers Sunderland, Newcastle and Durham. Dan is fully qualified as an electrician and qualified for EV charger installation, solar PV and battery storage.
The services listed are EV charger installation, fault finding, electrical installation condition reports (EICRs), consumer unit changes, sockets and switches, lighting and outside lights. Home EV chargers are fitted on their own circuit from the consumer unit, tested and certified before use. The business handles dead sockets, RCDs that trip, lights that are off, and socket replacement. New light fittings, pendants and LED downlights are installed, along with security lights, driveway lighting and garden lights.
DK Electrical operates a 24/7 emergency line for when the power goes off. Customers can send three photos of the consumer unit, the proposed charger location and the metre box via WhatsApp to receive a straight answer on what is involved before booking. A survey visit checks the supply, earthing and consumer unit, and works out the neatest cable route. The charger is fitted on the wall, cable is clipped along the brickwork, and mess is taken away. The circuit is tested and certified, followed by a walk-through of the charger and its app. The business holds 11 five-star Google reviews.
