About DL Electrical & Renewables
DL Electrical & Renewables is an electrical and renewable energy contractor based in Hawick, established in 2022. It installs solar PV systems, battery storage systems and EV chargers for domestic, commercial and agricultural clients. The business also carries out electrical installations, rewiring, consumer unit upgrades, additional sockets and lighting, fault finding, electrical testing and maintenance, landlord EICR checks and emergency call-outs.
The business covers the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Solar PV systems are designed around each client's energy use and requirements. Battery storage systems allow clients to store low-cost electricity or excess solar energy and use it when needed, reducing reliance on the grid. EV chargers are installed for all major vehicle brands, and the business is a Tesla-approved installation partner and Octopus certified installer.
DL Electrical & Renewables is MCS certified and NAPIT approved. All work is completed in accordance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. The team carries out new build installations, complete rewires and electrical testing. Jobs start with an initial consultation and system design, followed by installation, commissioning and ongoing support. The business uses products from industry-leading manufacturers and provides transparent advice throughout each project.
