About EOM Ltd
EOM Ltd is an electrical, plumbing and heating contractor based in Newtown, serving Mid Wales and the borders. The company employs over 40 staff comprising electricians, gas and oil heating engineers, plumbers, carpenters and external works specialists. Services include electrical installation and repair, solar panel installation and repair, EV charging points, fire alarm and emergency lighting supply and installation, data installation, plumbing and heating work, kitchen and bathroom replacements, fire door installation, external maintenance including fencing, guttering and roofing, and air source heat pumps.
EOM was established in 1992 and is now part of the Barcud group. The company works for housing associations, local authorities and commercial clients across Powys, Llanidloes, Welshpool and surrounding areas. Staff receive ongoing training at an on-site training centre and through college courses. Several apprentices work alongside time-served tradesmen.
The business offers a 24-hour emergency call-out system for electrical, plumbing and heating emergencies to approved customers. Work begins with a site visit to assess the job. For kitchen and bathroom installations, EOM strips out old units and fits new ones, undertaking plumbing and electrical modifications as part of the complete service. Solar installations are MCS accredited, and the company is a member of REAL. Fire door installation is carried out to third-party accredited standards. External works include slabbing, fencing, roof and gutter repairs.
