About Inspired Smart Living Ltd
Inspired Smart Living Ltd is an electrical contracting business based in Hythe, run by Nathan Winters. The business carries out fire alarm installation, outdoor and garden lighting, electrical fault finding and repairs, EICR testing, consumer unit upgrades and PAT testing for homes and small commercial properties. It also installs security systems such as burglar alarms and CCTV, electric vehicle charging points, home office power and internet setup, and whole home WiFi systems.
The business covers Hythe, Folkestone, Canterbury, Ashford, New Romney, Dymchurch and Faversham. Fire alarm installations include site surveys, system design, device placement and commissioning by NICEIC-certified electricians. Mains-powered interlinked smoke alarms are recommended for bedrooms and communal areas, with heat detectors in kitchens. For small commercial premises such as HMOs, shops and offices, Grade D or Grade A systems are available, with radio interlinked alarms for listed buildings where wiring is challenging.
Inspired Smart Living Ltd was incorporated in February 2019. Nathan Winters worked in the IT industry for nearly 20 years, including over ten years at Microsoft managing teams worldwide, before moving to Hythe in March 2021 to focus full time on the business. The business holds £5 million in public liability insurance and £250,000 in professional indemnity insurance. All installations are carried out by NICEIC-certified electricians following Building Regulations and local fire safety codes.
