About Mennie Electrical Services
Mennie Electrical Services is a family-run electrician business in Peterhead founded by brothers Calum and Joshua Mennie. The business carries out domestic and commercial electrical work across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, including full and partial house rewiring, consumer unit upgrades, additional sockets and lighting installations, outdoor and garden lighting, smart home electrical installations, smoke and heat alarms, and electrical repairs and fault finding.
For landlords and letting agents, Mennie Electrical Services provides EICRs and compliance inspections, PAT testing for rental properties, regular electrical maintenance packages, emergency repair services, multi-property management, and tenant changeover services. Work begins with a comprehensive electrical assessment involving 30+ safety checks completed in a single visit. Results are then reviewed and followed by professional installation and ongoing support matched to the property's needs.
The business covers Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and North East Scotland. All work complies with BS7671 regulations with full certification provided. Mennie Electrical Services is fully insured. The brothers emphasise reliability, transparent communication, and clear pricing. Calum is described as meticulous and detail-focused, while Joshua drives projects forward. The business slogan, "Mennie Hands Make Light Work", originated when their father coined the phrase while watching Calum install a light socket at their family home.
