About Merlin Electrical
Merlin Electrical is a family-run electrician business in Aberystwyth run by Merlin and his brother Rowan, with Stacey at the office. The business carries out lighting installation, socket repair, rewiring, electrical testing, portable appliance testing, circuit breaker panel repair, and fire alarm and smoke detector installation for domestic, commercial and industrial properties. It also repairs ovens, replacing elements, thermostats, fans and door seals, and checking hinges and glass.
The business serves Ceredigion and surrounding areas. Work begins with a visit to inspect the property and discuss the job. Merlin Electrical works alongside Aberystwyth AGEA and AberGas to order replacement parts and install them. Oven repairs cover faulty thermostats that cause slow heating or overcooking, burnt-out elements from wear and tear, fans clogged with material, and worn or cracked door seals that allow heat to escape. Electrical inspections check that systems are safe and in working order. Portable appliance testing identifies faults or defects in electrical appliances and equipment to prevent electrical hazards and comply with health and safety regulations. Fire and smoke detectors are fitted to all building types. The business is open from 8am to 6pm, with a weekend rate applied.
