About NE1 Electrical ltd
NE1 Electrical Ltd is a NAPIT registered electrical contractor based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Founded in 2019 by electrician Rob McGowan, the company carries out domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work across Newcastle, Gateshead and Tyne and Wear. The business answers a 24/7 emergency line every day of the year for loss of power, tripping circuits and burning smells.
Domestic services include consumer unit and fuse board upgrades with RCBO protection and surge protection, electrical installation condition reports for landlords and homeowners, full and partial rewires, fault finding, extra sockets and lighting, and EV charger installation. Commercial work covers installations, testing and maintenance for offices, shops, hospitality venues and industrial units, with periodic inspection and testing, emergency lighting installation and testing, and PAT testing for portable appliances. Three-phase supplies for machinery and distribution board replacements are also fitted.
Every job is tested and certified to BS 7671, and notifiable work is registered with Building Control through NAPIT, so customers receive a compliance certificate. The business speaks to an electrician rather than a call centre and provides a fixed price before work starts. Electricians hold City and Guilds and EAL qualifications, are fully insured and DBS-checked. Floors are protected and cleared up after each job.
