About TCE Electrical Ltd
TCE Electrical Ltd is a family-run electrical business based in York. It specialises in electrical installations for industrial, horticultural and farming applications, with a focus on LED grow lights, growing systems and environmental control systems. The business works with LED lighting manufacturers to supply and install lighting for vertical farms, growth chambers, glasshouses and indoor growing facilities.
The company carries out conversions of old fluorescent growth chambers and cabinets to LED, with significant energy savings and improved light output. It designs and builds complete growing environments, including glasshouses fitted with heating, ventilation and climate control. Services also include supplying GE Current Arize Lynk LED fittings in 4ft and 8ft lengths, available at discounted prices for project work.
TCE Electrical has completed projects across the horticultural and farming sectors. Recent work includes a vertical farm under the streets of London, a testing farm at Stockbridge Technology Centre with two identical growing rooms for crop comparison, and a bio pesticide glasshouse with three 120 square metre compartments. The business supplied LED lighting for Anglia Salads' full head lettuce growing project and provided units for the IKEA stand at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show.
The company was started in April 2000 and has been servicing industrial, horticultural and farming customers for 24 years. It works on projects ranging from small-scale conversions to large installations requiring project management across extended timescales.
