About TWK Electrical
TWK Electrical Ltd is a father and son electrician business based in Thatcham, run by Tony King with his son Jed and a team of qualified electricians. The business has traded since 2009 and is NICEIC approved. It carries out domestic and commercial electrical work across Newbury, Thatcham, Berkshire and north Hampshire.
Domestic services include consumer unit replacements, switch and socket installation, full house rewires, LED spotlight installation, outdoor lights and sockets, EV car charging points and immersion heater elements. The business issues NICEIC reports and certificates for these installations. Commercial work covers 3 phase consumer units, brand new wiring installations in trunking, conduit, cable tray and cable basket, emergency lighting circuits, and heat and smoke alarm systems. Cable tray and basket repair work is also undertaken. For landlords, the business provides electrical installation condition reports, electrical installation certificates, minor works certificates, emergency lighting certificates and heat and smoke alarm certificates.
Tony started his electrical career at Taylor and Goodman, then worked as a Maintenance Electrician at Courage Brewery in Reading for 16 years before setting up TWK Electrical in 2009. Jed joined as an apprentice in 2014 and became fully qualified in March 2018. The business provides quotes at a fair hourly rate. Work is carried out to Part P Building Regulations and is covered under NICEIC insurance-backed cover.
