About Carter Electrical
Carter Electrical Installation Ltd is a family-run electrical business based in Reading. Founded in 2008 by Mick Carter and his sons Jon and Matt, the business has well over 25 years' experience in the electrical industry. The team carries out domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work across Reading and surrounding Berkshire.
Services include domestic electrical installation and repairs, commercial and industrial contracting, electrical testing and inspection reports, solar PV systems, electric vehicle charging points and Tesla Powerwall installation. Domestic work ranges from replacing socket faceplates to full house rewires. Electrical Installation Condition Reports test fixed wiring in properties and identify any faults; landlords must have testing carried out every 5 years, and homeowners are advised to have it done every 10 years.
Carter Electrical Installation Ltd is accredited by the NICEIC, which inspects the business annually. The firm is an Office for Zero Emission Vehicles-approved installer and holds public liability insurance up to £10 million. Work begins with a visit to discuss the project, followed by a written quote. The business sponsors apprentices through Bracknell and Wokingham College and has a team of qualified electricians and apprentices. Much work comes from long-standing customers and word-of-mouth recommendations.
