About Daton Electrical Services ltd.
Daton Electrical Services is a family-run electrical contracting company based in Reading. The business carries out domestic electrical work including design and installation, testing and inspection, maintenance and repairs, consumer unit replacements, new lighting, electric showers, storage heater repairs and electrical condition reports for house sales. It also undertakes commercial and industrial electrical installations.
The business covers the Thames Valley and beyond. Daton Electrical Services was formed in the 1980s when its two directors, David Pratt and Anthony Bishop, took over site maintenance work at Scottish Courage Brewery in Reading following their apprenticeships in heavy electric motor assembly, repair and servicing. The company became a limited company in 1992 and purchased a Mr Electric franchise in 1998 to develop its domestic work. It moved to its current premises in 2011.
Technicians are fully qualified and polite, clean and courteous. All engineers are fully insured and install to current IEE wiring regulations 17 Edition. Qualified personnel with City and Guilds 2391 undertake inspection and testing. Daton Electrical Services has been a member of the NICEIC for the past 16 years and gained full membership in 1995. The business operates to correct technical standards. Many clients have remained with the company since the 1980s, with much business coming from recommendation.
