Electric Testing Cornwall carries out electrical installation condition reports, also known as periodic inspections or landlords safety certificates, for domestic and commercial properties across Cornwall. These inspections reveal overloaded circuits, electric shock risks, fire hazards, defective electrical work, and missing earthing or bonding. A 7-page certificate is emailed after each inspection.
The business covers Truro, Newquay, Falmouth, Padstow, Penzance, Redruth, Bodmin, St Austell and Helston. Domestic rental properties are inspected every 5 years, and commercial properties such as public houses or hotels have a yearly inspection. Inspections are arranged at a time convenient to the client and require access to the consumer unit, distribution boards, light fittings and socket outlets. Small defects found during testing can be rectified on site with the client's permission to help keep costs down.
