GO ELECTRIC IRL is a limited company and an early starter, opening at seven on Mondays.
About GO ELECTRIC IRL LTD
Go Electric IRL Ltd is an electrician business based in Newry that installs home EV chargers across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The business supplies and fits three tethered home chargers: the GARO GEV7.4L with 3.7 to 7.4kW charging and a 7.5m cable, the Ohme Home Pro with 7.4kW charging and a 5m cable, and the zappi GLO with up to 7kW charging and a 6.5m cable. Each charger includes Wi-Fi connectivity, app or physical controls, and solar-aware or solar-support features.
Installation slots are available Monday to Friday, AM or PM. The process begins with a WhatsApp survey: Anthony, the co-owner, asks for photos of the consumer unit, fuse board location, main incoming electrical supply, proposed charger position and a video from the fuse board to the outdoor location. After reviewing these items, Anthony confirms the booking and reserved slot. Final suitability, scope and price are confirmed before work starts, as cable routing, the consumer unit, earthing and parking position can affect the installation scope.
Anthony brings 20 years of electrical-industry experience from Cooke Bros Electrical Ltd. The business also handles commercial and multi-point charging installations with individual site assessment. Customers in the Republic of Ireland may claim up to €300 towards an approved charger and installation through SEAI, and those in Northern Ireland may receive 75 per cent of chargepoint and installation costs, up to £500, through OZEV.
