About J Kirby Electrical Ltd
J Kirby Electrical Ltd is an electrician business in Newhaven run by James Kirby, who founded the company in 2011. The business employs a team of electricians and apprentices and carries out domestic and commercial electrical work across Sussex. Services include new wiring, lighting and power installations, complete rewires, solar panels and battery storage, electric vehicle charging points, security alarms, fuse board upgrades, inspections and testing, and landlord certificates. Commercial work also covers door entry systems, intruder alarms, data cabling, CCTV inspections, PAT testing and emergency lighting.
The business works across East Sussex and West Sussex. Every job is certified on site using iPads, and all work is registered with NAPIT. The team wears uniforms with identity cards and leaves work areas tidy. Prices quoted are the prices charged, with notice given ahead of any additional charges. The business is insured for up to £10,000,000.
J Kirby Electrical also manages electrical compliance for commercial businesses, including EICRs, emergency lighting testing, PAT testing and fire alarm checks scheduled and tracked through a CRM system. Recent projects include electrical maintenance at Wave Leisure sites, lighting replacement in a manufacturing factory, EV charging installation across Sussex workplaces, and electrical compliance work for Lewes F.C.
