About R Lyons Electrical Ltd
R Lyons Electrical Ltd is a family-run electrical contracting business based in Colwyn Bay, trading since 1981. Richard Lyons set up the business after completing a five-year City and Guilds apprenticeship with Balfour Beatty and Haden. The business carries out commercial, industrial and domestic electrical work across North Wales and the North West.
Services include lighting installation, wiring, appliance installation and repair, security systems such as CCTV cameras and fire alarms to BS.5839, and door entry security. The business also installs government-approved EV charging points, carries out EICR inspection and testing, provides landlords' certificates, fits emergency lighting to BS.5266, and performs PAT testing. Smart home automation is offered, and fault finding and emergency repairs are undertaken for both commercial and domestic customers.
Site visits are carried out by qualified supervisors. The business offers a 24-hour service. Engineers are based across North Wales and the North West, and the firm works for industrial sites and landlords as well as homeowners. Lighting fixtures purchased independently can be installed on request.
