About Southgate Electrical Ltd
Southgate Electrical Ltd is based in Canterbury and carries out domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work across Kent and the South East. All five electricians in the team are NICEIC approved and Part P registered, and all jobs are insured.
Domestic services include installation of electric space heating and water heating systems, electric shower installation, wiring of new build homes and extensions, and temporary electrical supplies for construction sites and events. The business surveys each property first to establish what heating each room needs, as an undersized heater costs more to run and fitting the wrong type for the tariff wastes money. Electric shower installation is notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations and includes a dedicated circuit, cable run, isolation and full testing. New housing installations cover the consumer unit, lighting circuits, ring mains, kitchen and bathroom circuits, and additional requirements such as electric vehicle charging points and underfloor heating circuits. All work meets BS 7671, 18th Edition wiring regulations and is certified on completion.
Commercial and industrial services cover fire alarm systems, security systems including intruder alarms and CCTV, access control, emergency lighting, security lighting, retail lighting, shop-fitting, generator backup systems, switchgear installations, electrical distribution systems, data cabling and telephone systems. Testing and certification services include installation surveys, EICR testing, landlord certificates and fire alarm testing.
Southgate Electrical covers Canterbury, Sturry and the wider Kent area. Free on-site surveys and estimates are offered for domestic work.
